Start with the free revision sheet
The first resource is free: a fact-checked GCSE History revision sheet on Black British history. It has key people and dates from Mary Seacole to the Macpherson Report on two A4 pages, plus a timeline, exam tips and a quick quiz with answers.
How the resources are built
- Topics in a sensible order, rather than the order the textbook happens to use.
- Retrieval practice built in, because re-reading feels productive and changes very little.
- Exam technique and command words treated as a skill to be taught.
- Short, specific tasks rather than "do a past paper".
A revision resource makes an organised student more effective. It doesn't repair a broken foundation, and I'd rather say so than oversell it.
